Santarem
After the local reunion with ex-volunteers from Bezerra, we went to visit Santarem. Santarem is situated near the border of Serra de Aire , in the south, and is together with Mira - d'Aire and Porto de Mos one of the bigger cities, with a higher population density.
We walked down from the 'miradouro' or viewpoint to a village called 'Ribeira de Santarem' and the beautiful bridge getting from one side to the other of the valley.
From the village,'Ribeira de Santarem' , U can have a beautiful walk near the river 'o Tejo'.
After this, we made a hiking trail up to the hill of Santarem. To have a nice overview on the main cultural sites.
